Hi Everyone,
This edition of our safeguarding newsletter is to help you set up for the new season. |
 |
These are our Safeguarding minimum requirements
- ALL clubs (adult and junior) must have a club safeguarding officer (CSO) listed on ENgage. You can find out how to add an unallocated role here. Or to change an existing role, view our guidance here.
- If your club has any members under the age of 18, the CSO must apply for a DBS check via England Netball (EN). (Anyone who has regular unsupervised contact with under-18s must also have a DBS check via EN). More information can be found here.
- Your club should have a safeguarding policy. This should list who your CSO is and how to get hold of them. EN’s one page Children and Young People Safeguarding Policy is available to view here.
- Coaches and CSOs must have completed the relevant safeguarding training courses. More information can be found here.
- The CSO must keep a record of when DBS and safeguarding courses need renewing (every 3 years).
- You can find our contact details and policies and guidance for clubs, players, parents and more in our Knowledge Centre. Take a look here.

NSPCC Safe Sport Campaign
The Keeping Your Child Safe in Sport 2025 campaign (6–12 October) urges parents to “play your part” by supporting children positively before, during, and after sport. It promotes listening to children, keeping sport fun, showing respect, and reporting harmful behaviour to create safer, more enjoyable sporting environments. |
Come along to our informal safeguarding drop-in sessions. Meet the team, ask questions, and tell us how we can support you in your role. Register to attend by clicking the following links:
